Government Adopts More Economic Measures for Companies and Self-Employed for Covid-19
The Spanish government has adopted additional measures to alleviate the economic situation created by the health crisis. The measures include a new regulation on temporary lay-offs and a six-month extension on social security contributions for companies and the self-employed. ICEX Spain Trade and Export will reimburse companies for expenses arising from cancellations of trade shows and other international trade promotion activities.
Other measures aim to make electricity and gas supply contracts more flexible and to provide rent payment facilities and deferrals on mortgage payments.
